After obtaining her teaching license in 2005, Ianna Rosenthal taught middle and high school in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She resigned in 2013 after the birth of her second child to stay home with her kids. As the children got older Ianna returned to teaching on her own terms. She began homeschooling her own children and leading 4-H clubs that taught children life skills such as cooking and sewing as well as crafts and nature. She created lessons and curriculum that sought to foster every child’s innate thirst for knowledge and curiosity about the world around them. Moving to Florida nearly 5 years ago, Ianna continue homeschooling her children until last year when they were both enrolled in public school. With their successful transition, Ianna went back to teaching English at the high school level. Her passion for feeding the spark of wonder inside children has always found a place in everything Ianna does. She looks forward to bringing her creativity, passion and compassion to BJYA.
